Thomas Tallis training camp
The purpose-built Thomas Tallis Sports Campus will open in 2011 and will be available as a pre-games training camp from 2011 to 2012. It will feature state-of-the-art sport and athlete performance facilities
including:
· British Gymnastics competition-level gymnastics centre (816.5m2) featuring 2 pommel horses, 2 parallel bars, 2 asymmetrical bars, 2 beams, 2 high bars, 2 ring frames and 1 vault, lighting to 500 lux and clear height of 6.5 metres.
· a permanent competition level Martial Arts dojo (to British Judo Association specification) with two permanent matted areas and spectator seating for 150
· a specialist basketball facility (34m x 27m) with two full-size training courts or one full-size competition standard court with seating for 500 spectators.
· 6 Badminton courts and lighting to 595 lux
· high-performance suite including athlete strength and conditioning gym, performance analysis area, fitness testing capability, video analysis facilities, drug-testing area, first aid and medical treatment area.
