There has been a significant increase in the number of services in London as well as many brand new buses over recent years. Bus use has rocketed as a result.
The 188 bus from Russell Square comes through the town centre on its way to The O2 entertainment venue at North Greenwich Underground station. Greenwich town centre is also served by the 177 (Thamesmead to Peckham), 180 (Belvedere to Lewisham), 199 (Canada Water to Catford), 286 (Greenwich to Sidcup via Eltham) and 386 (Greenwich to Woolwich). The 53 (Oxford Circus to Plumstead) passes the Blackheath Gate (south) entrance to Greenwich Park, but does not come through the town itself.
